Rolls-Royce Mini-Lecture Competition
The Rolls-Royce Mini-Lecture competition is open to students under 25 years old, based in Toulouse.
20 minute lectures are given by students from Toulouse aeronautical Engineering schools/Universities.
Followed by a Lecture from a Rolls-Royce professional and member of RAeS.
The Rolls-Royce Mini-Lecture Competition 2023 will take place on 19th April 2023 in the Symposium Room, B01 Airbus SAS/Campus 1, Blagnac.
Three finalists from 10 applicants at Engineering Schools / Universities in the Toulouse area have been selected and will give their mini-lectures on different topics.
After the students’ presentations Steve BOWEN, Rolls-Royce Development Capability Manager will give
his presentation Product Development for Modern Aviation, while Geoff Thomas and his judges decide the winner. Following the results announced by Geoff the Mini-Lecture Competitors will be presented with their trophies by Steve, together with Christophe Molus, SVP Rolls-Royce Toulouse.
The winner’s prize is a Rolls-Royce large Fan Blade Trophy to be retained for a year. All three finalists receive gifts from Rolls-Royce, plus €100 and an offer of a return airfare to London paid by the RAeS ToulouseBranch – prima rily to visit the Rolls-Royce factory at Derby and/or the RAeS headquarters in London or attend an RAeS event.
