Toulouse is in the south of France, north of the department of Haute-Garonne, on the axis of communication between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The city is about 100\u00a0km from the Pyrenees and the borders with Andorra and Spain and 680 km from Paris. The city has a long history, tracing its origins to before the time of the Romans. <br>It is the fourth-largest city in France after Paris, Marseille and Lyon.<br>The Toulouse-Blagnac Airport complex was the birthplace of the Anglo-French supersonic jetliner Concorde.
